Post-Binge

Now that I’ve figured out how to convert presentations into jpeg files, I’m pleased to present my own artfully-displayed tips for recovery/survival.

Binge Poster.001.jpgThe final tip is the most important, I believe. Massage your belly. Any binger might cringe at even the thought of doing so post-binge. Touching one’s own abdomen is an act that is personally intimate and for many, very anxiety inducing. I remember being told to hold my stomach during breathing meditations and feeling myself break out into a sweat. Touch my fat? Be aware of my big, ugly belly?

Massaging your belly is an act of self-love that directly confronts one’s own fears of fatness. And, even for those who are belly-confident, a massage can simply ease the discomfort post-binge.
